Enhance your practice

Enhance the effectiveness of your Pilates practice by adding a massage to a private Pilates tuition session, helping you to get the most from your Pilates session and promoting a strong, relaxed and balanced body.

Integrating Pilates training with massage works to strengthen muscles and release tension, end a Pilates session with a massage to relax the muscles you have just worked.

The massage is specifically tailored to suit your individual requirements at each session. It can work on a physical level, improving circulation and lymphatic drainage, delivering oxygen and nutrients to body cells whilst eliminating toxins, releasing muscle tension and boosting the immune system, as well as having a powerful effect on the mind by promoting relaxation and general wellbeing.

The holistic approach that I use reduces the effects of stress on the physical body whilst calming the mind.

Here are just some of the potential benefits:

  • Stress and anxiety reduction
  • Improved sleep
  • Relaxation
  • Increased energy levels
  • Muscular tension reduction
  • Increased mobility and flexibility
  • Better circulation
  • Reduced blood pressure
  • More efficient breathing
  • Improved skin elasticity

Whilst the massage follows no set routine, after assessment and consultation I may apply any of the following techniques to a session:

  • Swedish, deep tissue
  • Hot / cold stones
  • Aromatherapy
  • Indian head
  • Balancing semi-precious stones
